A FLORAL REVOLUTION: Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene is a men’s “Eau de Toilette” featuring a blend of oriental, floral, and woody notes. Launched in the 1970s, this fragrance marked a groundbreaking shift by introducing masculine floral notes that had previously been absent in men’s perfumes, setting a precedent for future perfumers. Created in 1975 by perfumer Andre Fromentin, this was Geoffrey Beene’s first fragrance. A notable American fashion designer, Beene was known for his innovative and boundary-pushing creations, which is reflected in his debut scent.
