VETIVER EDT by CARVEN This iconic scent made its debut in 1957, paying tribute to the timeless sophistication of Philippe Mallet, the husband of Madame Carven. She aimed to create a fragrance that was not overly floral or sweet for men, which led her to choose Vetiver as a key component. Notably, Carven’s Vetiver is recognized as the first Eau de Toilette to incorporate this distinctive root. In 2014, a revival of this classic was launched to celebrate its enduring appeal.
The fragrance opens with a vibrant combination of bergamot harmonized with the zesty allure of grapefruit. The brightness of lemon blended with citronella adds a refreshing spark. In its core, the robust presence of geranium is heightened by lavender, showcasing a powerful masculinity complemented by spicy undertones of nutmeg. This is balanced by the timeless essence of orange blossom, adding a soft sweetness to the fragrant middle. Finally, at the base, the smooth richness of sandalwood melds seamlessly with the warm notes of cedar and benzoin.
