Replying to @Jasmina Cviljak i looooove my 135mm lens but that doesnt mean it’s the lens for everyone. The difference is: weight, price, the distance you need to be from the dog, the compression. In the case of my two lenses (Sony 85mm vs Sony 135mm GM), the 135mm is sharper and the 85mm has some fringing that the 135 doesnt.

Which to use? ⬇️ Each lens gives a different level of compression (scale of subject against the background) when framing up the same shot. Longer lenses (85mm & 135mm) are useful for separating your subject from the background with a shallow depth of field, while wider lenses (50mm) show a natural point of view with more of the subject's immediate surroundings.
