Description
MARTA PASIÓN Pink Reserve by RAMON CANALS is crafted from native grape varieties cultivated in the Penedès region, which are essential for creating our esteemed Marta Passió cava. The blend consists of Xarel.lo, Macabeo, Parellada, and Garnacha, aged for over 24 months in our cellars, resulting in a sophisticated and refined profile. The cava boasts a delicate pale pink hue, featuring fine, persistently rising bubbles. On the nose, it offers a refreshing bouquet of ripe white fruit and citrus notes, accompanied by hints of red fruit and nuances from its aging process that contribute to its complexity and elegance.
The grapes are hand-harvested, starting with Macabeo in early September, followed by Xarel.lo and Garnacha mid-month, and concluding with Parellada towards the end. The grapes are gently pressed with a pneumatic press, ensuring that only the flower must is selected. Each varietal undergoes fermentation separately under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks.
On the palate, the wine presents a harmonious balance, with a delightful creaminess and a long, pleasant finish featuring well-integrated bubbles. This cava pairs exquisitely with appetizers, rice dishes, pasta, fish, oysters, and shellfish, making it versatile for any occasion. It is best served chilled at a temperature between 6 to 8 ºC in tall, elegant fluted glasses, unadorned for an optimal presentation.
