La Fenice was a blind buy for me- but was it a win? I don’t own any scents from Merchant of Venice but their beautiful bottles have always intrigued me! I thought the vanilla in La Fenice would be a good entry point. This scent opens with a slightly sweet airy floral, that has a touch of powderiness to it, and as it dries and develops, turns into a really lovely soft and gentle vanilla. There is a tiny bit of woodiness in the drydown, but it certainly doesn’t weigh it down in any way. La Fenice is a beautiful, elegant and airy, very office safe slightly floral vanilla that I think is absolutely a win. The Merchant Of Venice La Fenice ! @Demi Rawling influenced me with this one again 😅🫣😂.This is a beautiful powdery vanilla with almond touches to it! I absolutely love this fragrance ! Definitely in the same realm as Guerlan Spiritueuse Double Vanille but done way better in my opinion ! For some reason I just don’t like that one until it’s fully dried down after a couple hours ! This one opens up smooth and so well blended with the added notes of tuberose and almond flower ! It’s such a beautiful scent profile , I’ve heard some creators deacribe it as a powdery vanilla ice cream . I don’t get that but it’s definitely a beautiful almond vanilla .
