SYNONYMOUS WITH YOUTH AND PLAYFULNESS, Cabotine by Grès is an “Eau de Toilette” for women, designed for a fun and playful spirit, unafraid to embrace risk. This fragrance embodies a multi-faceted woman, aptly reflected in its name—’cabotine’ translates to ‘actress.’ Created in 1990 by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville, it marked the brand’s first launch after its bankruptcy in 1987, aiming for a fresh start with innovative elements. Notably, it incorporated the rare and challenging ingredient: white Himalayan ginger lily, a first in fragrance history.
The scent opens with vibrant notes of blackcurrant and plum, rich red fruits that blend seamlessly into the floral heart, featuring carnation, tuberose, violet, and jasmine. These floral notes cascade into sweeter undertones of amber and vanilla.
