BORNEO 1834 Eau de Parfum by Serge Lutens draws inspiration from the grandeur of French royalty and its tumultuous history, famously marred by the guillotines of the Revolution. This fragrance pays homage to rum absolute, weaving a narrative steeped in the rich, woody legacy and embodying a notably refined conclusion. “The Revolution not only claimed the life of the King of France but also took the oak with it. Thus, it marked a new beginning for them. Everything connected to this story: aged barrels brimming with rum, the aged floorboards that have borne witness to dignified strides—they all reflect its essence, born from tannin.
